PayPal Payment system is one of the major world wide secure methods for payments on the World Wide Web. They have been around for some time and are well tested and tried. Dot Com Directories has chosen PayPal because of these reasons.

Credit Card Security
All PayPal/credit card transactions are secured using the Secure Socket Link (SSL) system. No credit card details are stored on our site.

How It Works
Bob, who is new to PayPal, is going to purchase several pieces of jewellery from Geraldine's website.

What the Customer sees
Step 1: Bob goes to Geraldine's website and clicks Add to Cart. When he has chosen all of the jewellery he wants, he clicks View Cart.

Step 2: Bob looks at the contents of his cart and clicks Check-out. He fills in shipping details and ..

Step 3: Bob is then taken to a PayPal Payment Details page that shows the items added to his Cart.

Step 4: Bob is prompted to log in to his PayPal account, but he is not already a PayPal member, so he follows the instructions at the top of the screen.

Step 5: Bob is then prompted to enter his credit card information, email address, and password, creating his new PayPal account.

Step 6: Bob is taken to a confirmation page containing the details of his payment. Because Dot Com has activated the Shipping Preferences, the shipping costs are automatically added to Bob’s order. He clicks Pay to complete the payment.

Step 7: Bob is taken to a confirmation page where he sees the details of his successful payment. He is also given Dot Com's customer service email.

With Auto Return for Website Payments, Bob would be redirected back to our website immediately after clicking the Pay button on the Payment Confirmation page.

Step 8: Bob receives an email receipt for this transaction that confirms the payment and includes a copy of the Payment details from PayPal. Hew also receives an order confirmation from Dot Com with a tracking reference

Protect Your PayPal Account Info
Make sure you never provide your password to fraudulent websites.

To safely and securely access the PayPal website or your account, open a new web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape) and type in the PayPal URL to be sure you are on the real PayPal website.https://www.paypal.com/ie/) to be sure you are on the real PayPal site.

PayPal will never ask you to enter your password in an email.

Protect Your Password
You should never give your PayPal password to anyone, including PayPal employees.

Firewalls: if you are working behind a FIREWALL... you may not be able to order from our site as it moves from unsecure to SECURE at the point of ordering and that seems to confuse some firewalled systems.
You are advised to suspend your firewall while ordering or call and place an order direct.

Shipping Addresses

When filling in the Cart Shipping Information Page, it should be noted that Shipping First Name, Shipping Address, etc refers to the shipping, or ship-to address of where you want your parcel to be sent. Some countries and (Credit) Card suppliers require the Shipping Address and the Billing Address to be the same - so it is important to note this.

Billing Address

When filling in the Cart Billing Information Page, it should be noted that the Billing Name, Address, etc., are those that appear on your Paypal/Credit Card, or Payment Card. If there is a difference entered here, you will find that the transaction is likely to be rejected by the Payment system
